Building for Bouwkunde.

Date: 2008
The learning of Architecture arises from the exchange, from the diversity of opinions, from the flow of knowledge, and the university environment is one of the first places where these ideas are forged. In TU Delft there is an absent space. Our proposal is based on that concept and raises the idea of building with the void. The public spaces will be interconnected and will be relationally variable, acting as bellows between the inside and the outside. Its organization, as well as the logic of the structure, arises from the need to generate different gathering and approaching environments for a diverse and multicultural public. We believe it is important to integrate the concept of sustainability into the architectural program. In this sense, we selected local materials and introduced light and air as the natural elements that will make this building a living organism.
