Location: Tigre, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina
Date: 2018
The growing real estate development in Tigre, together with tourism, has doubled the demand for public and private transport. Providing the center of Tigre with an urban road scheme that makes today's mobility more agile and anticipates that of the future is a priority for the area. Ten minimum interventions are proposed: two Transfer Centers; a fast track for public transport and tourism (Metrobus Tigre); two road roundabouts to ease traffic in conflictive sectors; the extension of Av. Perú; accesses to the Panamerican Viaduct in the last section of Acceso Tigre; semi-pedestrian roads in Av. Cazón; river piers and inns; bike paths, public parks and the wave-free navigability of the Luján River between Dique No. 3 and the
Reconquista River. Finally, the construction of an island cable car, an economical, easy to maintain, low visual impact and ecologica means of transport, which will allow the Delta to be visited by more tourists.
