Carlos Calvo House belongs to a classic 19th century horizontal property building in the San Telmo district. At the time of purchase, the property was in very poor conditions and not spacious enough for its owners, a young professional couple. Following this premise and adding a low available budget, many second hand materials were used, as well as new ones
that were made to measure. The main idea was to conserve and highlight the house own style by making it dialogue with more modern ones, combining the warmth and details of the older styles with the cleaner and neater finishes of the new ones.
