The illustrations for the Alila group of hotels were created to promote their resorts in the cities of Ubud and Seminyak, Bali. Alila has hotels in China, India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman and the United States, and its hallmark is the combination of innovative design, handcrafted luxury and the choice of unique locations. In the case of Ubud, the experience consisted of designing a collection of maps of the hotel's surroundings. The drawings reproduce the spaces of the establishment and were made on the spot during a series of events sponsored by Alila. The illustrations were later used in postcards and other advertising materials. For the opening of the hotel in Seminyak, the proposal included the creation of sketches of valuable locations near the resort: fashionable boutiques, restaurants, elegant bars and famous beaches. The drawings are lightly coloured with the aim of maintaining the feeling of warmth and elegance that characterises Alila.
