Cuerpo de Agua
Year: 2016
Performance
Duration: 48 min
Idea: Leticia Balacek and Victoria Latini
Dance: Victoria Latini and Laura Aguerreberri
Visuals: Leticia Balacek
Music: Julio del Toro
Location: San Luis, Potosi, Mexico
This performance addresses the exploration of possible imaginaries about the construction of a work through a dialogue between the body and the drawing, space and paper, movement and ink. The work consists of intuitive, spontaneous, playful and, as far as possible, automatic actions. Among other issues, the artwork poses the void and the blank sheet as a virgin space for construction, disarticulating the images that exist before the first movement or stroke. As a result, a series of exploration devices are exhibited (a canvas, a paper installation and a series of projections) that allow contact with the material, spatial and temporal reality of the place.
