Authors: Ramiro Gallardo, Gustavo Nielsen, Max Zolkwer and. Leticia Balacek, architects
Contributors: Florencia Bernal, Carolina Corti and Cecilia Álvarez Raso, architects.
Location: Ribera del Riachuelo (Barracas and La Boca), Buenos Aires City, Argentina
Date: 2009
The project proposes to revitalize the Ribera del Riachuelo with eight different nodes, united by a continuous walk. The nodes link the new intervention with pre-existing sites and with other projects yet to be carried out. The historical node presents two new uses of the ferry, one as transport and the other as an urban laboratory of the Matanza-Riachuelo basin; a tourist node with the insertion of urban livings, pergolas, viewpoints, the building of "la ĺtalo" flowery boats, parking lots, urban
equipment and lighting; a commercial and cultural node combines an informal fair with shopping centres, plus new buildings; a recreational node with a floating recreation system; a business node, developed as a pole that links the Barraca de las Madres with a computer office for business attention; a civic node on the old Pueyrredón Bridge; a design node, aligned with the CMD and a transfer node, at the mouth of the Parque Lineal del Sur.
